Come closer...
There is a magical community of creative humans waiting for you.
as the heavy, oak door slowly swings open, you peer through, eagerly looking inside
And while you trust this place to hold you as you bring to life whatever you are craving, you are even more excited for the people emerging from their own paths, from their own lives, into the garden. You see them, waving, welcoming you. Some you know already, others you will come to know soon. Some you consider your closest friends, after having met them in the Seasons before.
These are your people. This is your garden. Here is where you will plant the seeds of creation, each spring and each autumn. And this community will hold you through it all. You are brimming, bubbling, with the feeling of coming home - to yourself, and to each other.
You’ve waited for this moment for months.
A beautiful garden filled with flowering shrubs and twisted trellises awaits you. You take a deep breath, and step forward. As your feet fall, one after another, down the path, a sense of ease overtakes you.
A familiarity.
A feeling of having been here before, exactly where you need to be, to create all that you are called to create.
It feels like a magical summer camp for adults…
Because dear one, that’s exactly what it is.
welcome to the seasons of creation.
The Seasons of Creation are a glorious quarter turn around the sun, where we join together to support each other as we dig deep and move forward with the projects that we’re feeling called to create.
For twelve weeks - each spring and fall - we gather together to re-connect to our creativity, ourselves, and a community of other magical humans… who may just become your closest friends and co-conspirators.
There are rituals.
There is a dreamy community of wildly inspiring friends & collaborators.
There is music & dancing & crying & lots of laughing.
There is learning & magic making and most of all…
there is deep connection & so much creating
Our Seasons of Creation are the place to come and do your creative work AND it’s also probably going to look different than any way you’ve created before.
You see, we’re not about productivity at the cost of everything else. We’re simply not here for the hustle culture bullshit. We’re committed to doing creativity differently and stepping outside of the expectations of our capitalist, patriarchal, and ableist society.
If you want someone to yell at you to “just keep working” or tie you to your desk for eight hours straight… this probably isn’t for you… OR maybe this is exactly what you actually need.
let’s create a different way of creating

kindred community is essential for creative thriving
The Seasons of Creation are rooted in two core principles:
animism:
Animism is the belief that everything around us is alive. When it comes to our creativity, we believe that our ideas, our projects, the things that are calling to be made, are animate. When we work with our creativity, we work with our creativity. We have a relationship to our creations and our ideas. This means, we’re not going it alone. We’re quite literally co-creating with our creativity.
Having an animist relationship with our creativity takes the pressure off of us to force and push our creativity through us. Instead, we just get to show up and some of the knowing, direction and momentum actually becomes the responsibility of the Soul of our Project (something you’ll become intimately familiar with inside the Seasons of Creation). We just need to show up for what is being asked of us.
& interdependence:
We also believe that interdependence is vital to creativity. Inside the Seasons of Creation we co-create with our projects, and we co-create with one another. We’re deeply committed to breaking down the story that creativity requires us to be miserable and lonely in the process.
Nothing has ever been created by only one person. There are always others involved. You might write the book, but you’ll have a whole team editing, supporting, marketing, tending to you while you write. You might have an idea, but we guarantee it’s been sparked by some inspiration you gleaned from someone else. Our creativity is inherently interdependent.
Inside the Seasons of Creation, we embrace that interdependency. We weave in community and collaboration from the beginning, so you don’t have to wait until you’re overwhelmed to get help. Instead, we build mutual support into the process, so we can all go further, together.
NOW FOR SOME IMPORTANT DETAILS
You might be thinking,
“That all sounds great, but how exactly does this work?”
here’s how
For twelve weeks, we’ll travel through a creative journey together.
While the Seasons of Creation is not a course, we provide a robust framework and lots of support to guide you through the process from having an initiation to completion.
the season
This season we will gather together online for twelve weeks starting on September 28th and running through December 19th.
ARC OF THE SEASON
the 12 weeks
the calls
FULL COVEN CALLS
We begin each Season of Creation with an opening ceremony where we’ll gather in community to engage in ritual and preparation to enter into this space in deep connection and commitment. This Season’s ceremony takes place on October 3rd at 12pm Pacific /3pm Eastern.
We will also have a full community call at the mid-point of the season, and a closing ceremony that the whole community will be invited to partake in collectively.
WEEKLY CALLS
Throughout the season, we have weekly circle calls where you’ll meet with an intimate group of up to 13 humans. This is where we’ll gather for ritual and peer support, work through challenges & celebrate our creations.
Circle Time Options (circle calls start the week of October 5th)
Thursdays at 11am Pacific/2pm Eastern
Thursdays at 5pm Pacific/8pm Eastern
Fridays at 3pm Pacific/6pm Eastern
Saturdays at 10am Pacific/1pm Eastern
CO- WORKING CALLS
Additionally, there will be optional co-working calls every week for body doubling or tender accountability as you bring your projects to life. And we’ll likely throw a guest workshop or two in as well.
All calls are 2 hours long.
Full group calls and weekly circles will be recorded if you cannot always make them live. That being said, you’ll need to be able to come to at least some of the calls to get the full experience.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Some parts of Western Canada (and possibly other places soon) have stopped doing the time change. For this season, coven’s schedule will do the time change, so if you are in one of the locations that is NOT doing a time change, all calls will functionally begin an hour later for you after NOV 1st.
the field guides
Each week of this Season of Creation you’ll receive a beautifully designed Field Guide delivered straight to your inbox. These Field Guides tenderly walk you through the creative process we love to engage with here in the Coven of Creativity.
Each Field Guide includes:
practical steps & tools for moving your project forwards
exercises for you to complete to help guide that stage of the creative process
a love letter or pep talk from us to you
a tarot spread & spell or ritual to deepen your creativity
time commitment
If you want to join us, we recommend that you carve out 3+ hours a week for calls, exercises, general connecting, and time spent devoted to the project that you’re working with.
the community
When we open the doors, you’ll be invited to step through a portal to join us in our online gathering space. Our online space is hosted on Mighty Networks (it’s like a big Facebook group but cooler - and minus the Facebook because no one needs more Facebook in their lives.)
You can access it anytime from your computer or phone, and don’t worry, we’ll walk you through all of it to set you up so you won’t miss anything.
You’ll also have your personal circle of up to 13 people who you’ll journey with more intimately, supporting each other, connecting deeply, providing accountability and hilarious memes where needed.
the other goodies
Weekly video Astro-Forecasts with our brilliant in-house Astrologer Taryn and her co-host Hannah.
Extra Workshops & Calls: For this season, we’ve invited some brilliant long-time members of Coven to share their magic through workshops and special sessions that will be sprinkled throughout the season.
Optional Additional 1:1 Coaching: If you’re feeling like you could use some extra support, our amazing in-house Coach Carissa is available through the season to hold you gently as you splash around in the pool of mystery with your project this season. Sessions are $50 USD. You can book just one or a few as you need them, or sign up for coaching every week or every other week.
the lounge
We have a 24/7 dedicated zoom room to hang out and co-work in. Anytime there isn’t another call going on and you could use some company, you just drop a note in the group chat in Mighty Networks to let us know you’ll be in there and it’s likely someone else (or many someone elses) will hop in too!
your project
In this Season of Creation you’ll be required (and supported) to pick a project you’d like to dedicate your focus to for our time together. It does not have to be capital c “Creative”. Seriously, pick anything. It all counts. The project can be anything.
Here are some ideas of what we’ve seen past members bring to life:
Traditionally creative projects like writing, painting, illustration, embroidery, poetry, and so much more,
Creative business endeavours like developing and launching a new offering, building or revamping a website, or making a creative marketing plan,
Personal creative projects like creating a more expressive wardrobe, decorating a particular room, or starting a garden, or
Projects that might not seem “creative” at first glance but totally are, like starting a potluck group in your neighbourhood, connecting with your inner child, making a plan to deepen your self-tending and support your mental health, or plain old just figuring out what the heck you want from this life.
It can be any kind of project that you are already working on or are wanting to bring to life in the world.
the process
No. 1
We will spend the first month preparing, planning, and connecting with the community & our projects as well as developing a devotional creative practice.
No. 2
Then, as a community, we’ll dive in to spending two months actively working on our projects so you can really get some traction and build moment. When things get sticky, and the procrastination and perfectionsim hits, we’ll walk you through to the other side.
No. 3
And finally, we’ll wrap up with a big community celebration!
Let’s be clear about one thing - this is not a one and done course. This is a process that we engage in collectively as a community. You can come for a single season, or join us every season (many people do) or come to some and pass on others as you’re able. This is a container you can return to again and again to help you engage in your creativity and deepen your relationships with yourselves and each other.

some final considerations
THIS IS FOR
YOU IF
You feel disconnected from your creative self & are excited about the idea of rekindling a sense of creativity in your life;
You’re chomping at the bit to make some stuff but have no idea what to focus on next;
You’ve got an idea you’ve been simmering on for a while but you’re struggling to get up the courage to start;
You’re seeking some gentle accountability, structured space, and a supportive community to hold you through whatever project you’re currently working on;
You’re a space holder whose craving having someone else hold space for you for a change;
You’re longing for a community cauldron of generative ideas held collectively by magical creatives that you can brainstorm, celebrate, and collaborate with;
You’re needing some permission to show up exactly as you are, to do things imperfectly, and to let yourself grow and shine;
And you’re down with our witchy, capitalist critical values & love community care!
THIS IS NOT
FOR YOU IF
You hate creating.
You hate community.
You hate fun.
You hate magic.
You hate enchantment.
You don’t have the bandwidth to commit to this community and your creativity right now.
Don’t worry, there will be many Seasons of Creation in the future & you are welcome to all of them. Hop on our list at the bottom of the page to get notified when we re-open our doors.
One final note:
The Season of Creation is not a school where we teach you how to do a thing. Instead, we’re here to equip and support you to find your own way of creating in your life. We’ll offer ideas and frameworks to try on, but ultimately we’re committed to you becoming the creative you already are.

what people are saying
notes & messages from coven members
“I joined Coven at a time when my energy felt stagnant and flat. The field guides, workshops, coaching calls, and circlets reinvigorated my creativity in magical ways. The invitations to explore, play, imagine, and co-create swept me into countless delightful adventures. Azalea and Kelsey are powerful facilitators. Their witness, reflections, and guidance helped me unearth more treasures than I ever could have discovered on my own. Their insights encouraged me to conjure a bigger, bolder vision for my life.
By the end of the season I felt a deep connection to my true self, clarity about the soul of my project, and motivated to put my plans into action. The experience was truly life-giving and I can’t wait for the next season to begin!”

“Through the magical space that Azalea and Kelsey have created, I was able to give myself permission to waltz with my creativity. And through this process I learned—more than anything—the power of gentleness, the power of creating in a community container, and the the power of giving yourself permission to create (or not!) within your own resources & energy levels. That it’s not about simply pushing yourself to create capitalistic output, it’s about the process of creating that carves a pathway for me to get to know myself (all the shiny and not so shiny) in a way that is spellbinding and nourishing. (Plus the aesthetic of the space is spectacularly enchanting!)”
“AS A WORKING ARTIST, BEING INVOLVED IN THE COVEN WAS ABSOLUTELY THE BIGGEST FACTOR IN MOVING MY WORK FORWARD THIS PAST YEAR.
It created the structure, support and inspiration I needed to actually develop a creative business. I’ve had many ideas just simmering on the back burner for years! Many times I’ve tried to move them forward by myself but felt frustrated, alone, uninspired, unmotivated and lacklustre. The Coven supported me, not by following someone else’s roadmap, but by harnessing my own creativity and becoming more aware of what I need at each step to actually bring something into the world. Doing this alongside other people was absolutely key for me. I created ‘Cozette’, a deeply personal textile brand that has woven together my own skill and aesthetic into a form that supports people in deep grief and loss. This project, that came out of my time with Coven, has continued to be deeply healing for me personally, a factor that had been missing from my creative life.
I have just received a large research and creation grant, and I’m so grateful that this project lines up with another season of Coven starting this spring. It has been such an amazing support in creating tangible results in my creative career. I really think we aren’t meant to make things alone - this is an amazing community to create with.”

“I joined Coven because I needed accountability to work on a new business venture, and I got that, and SO MUCH MORE MAGIC that I didn’t even know I needed!!
Azalea and Kelsey and all the participants have co-created this absolutely lovely and nourishing community. It’s hard to make friends as adults, and the people who self-select into this group are just naturally kindred spirits. There’s a huge diversity, but also this common thread through everyone where I felt immediately connected and like I was with “my people”.
It was amazing to have structured SPACE to do these things I know are important but struggle to find the time for - working on a new project, tapping into creativity and spirit, being in community. It was so wonderful to have these scheduled into my calendar with Coven and to have somebody else holding the space for them, since in my work I am often the space-holder.
I was able to make progress on my business, in a different direction than I had planned, and to be AFFIRMED for the fact that it’s normal and encouraged to pivot! I bounced ideas off of folks, got wonderful insights, and got connected to people I can collaborate with in the future.
I also got PERMISSION - permission to show up exactly as I was (modeled so beautifully by Azalea and Kelsey always showing up exactly as THEY were), permission to do things imperfectly, permission to let myself grow and shine.
Coven also gave me a place to tap back into my heart and soul, my creativity and spirituality. I am so, so grateful, and can’t wait for the next season!”

“As a neurodivergent creative and a part-time practitioner of... let us say "witchy shit", I absorbed so much more into my practice from the teachings of Coven and the spirits therein. I felt like I had a community backing me, rooting for me in my endeavors. I learned to silence the destructive internal dialogues. I learned to find inspiration in the personification of my projects. I learned about and felt the healing repose of being held by a plethora of like-spirited beings.
It is a special place for people to learn to be extraordinary in their creative ventures. Not in the eyes of the audience, but in the eyes of the self. Creativity is therapy, and we do therapy for ourselves. Being content with my work and trusting its worth is the biggest lesson I've gleaned from my time with Coven. I can't wait to witness what you will pull away from it. Won't you come and find out?”
